This collection presents a diverse selection of alpine crystals from the classic locality Zinggenstock in Switzerland. It includes numerous single crystals and groups of smoky quartz and rock crystal in typical alpine habit – often clear, prismatic and showing light to smoky color tones. Many specimens are complemented by greenish inclusions and coatings of chlorite, which are characteristic of alpine fissure parageneses.

Zinggenstock, located in the Grimsel area, is renowned for spectacular alpine quartz finds formed by tectonically active processes in alpine fissure systems. The combination of aesthetic smoky quartz and rock crystal crystals with chlorite gives this collection both visual appeal and geological significance. An ideal flat for collectors focused on alpine minerals and classic European localities.
