Smoky quartz and feldspar in natural combination on matrix from Mt. Malosa near Zomba, Malawi. The smoky quartz appears as well-formed, mostly transparent to slightly tinted crystals, partly with clearly defined terminations. The feldspar is typically blocky and pale in color, often intergrown with quartz in contrasting texture. All pieces are on matrix with clearly visible crystal structures.
This flat stems from our own collecting trip to Malawi in 2022 – one of East Africa’s most exciting regions for pegmatitic mineral assemblages. Mt. Malosa is renowned internationally for the variety and quality of its crystals.
A great addition for systematic collections – especially for quartz enthusiasts and African mineral collectors.
