Sceptre Quartz crystals from Taubenberg near Rinteln, Germany – 1 unique flat
This unique flat contains numerous Quartz specimens from Taubenberg near Rinteln with differently developed Sceptre Quartz crystals. The specimens predominantly show colourless to slightly yellowish, partly transparent to translucent crystals in open cavities and on light-coloured rock matrix. The individual pieces vary considerably in size, shape and crystal development and include both more compact crystal groups and more open drusy areas. The complete flat shown in the pictures is offered as a unique lot.
Geology & Origin
Sceptre Quartz forms when a broader crystal head develops on an already existing Quartz crystal during a later growth phase. Such forms develop under changing formation conditions in mineralized fractures and cavities. The specimens from the Taubenberg area near Rinteln show Quartz formations from such mineralized cavities and document different growth forms and appearances of the material from this locality.
