Our raw stones are partially not cleaned. Possible impurities such as dust or dirt can be easily and quickly removed with water. This has no impact on the product quality.
This 100 g lot consists of natural Ruby in Zoisite from Tanzania. The pieces display the characteristic combination of vivid green Zoisite with clearly contrasting pinkish-red to reddish-purple Ruby areas. Dark to black mineral inclusions provide additional contrast and varied patterns. The pieces are unpolished and vary in shape, size, and the distribution of the individual mineral components.
Geology & Origin
Ruby in Zoisite is a natural rock in which red Ruby crystals or Ruby-rich areas occur together with green Zoisite. The material is particularly well known from Tanzania, where this distinctive mineral association occurs in metamorphic rocks. The strong color contrast between the green Zoisite and red Ruby makes the material attractive both for collectors and as rough material for further processing.
