Revdite; Alluaiv, Lovozero, Kola, Russia; MM; unique piece
Revdite from Alluaiv, Lovozero, Kola, Russia. Micromount as unique piece for mineral collectors.
Revdit is an exceptionally rare silicate mineral from the complex geology of the Lovozero Massif on the Kola Peninsula in Russia. This miniature specimen comes from the Alluaiv locality, one of the most renowned sites within the massif.
As a member of the eudialyte group, Revdit has a unique chemical structure that includes rare elements such as sodium, cerium, and titanium. Crystals are typically granular to prismatic and often embedded in the nepheline syenite matrix characteristic of this locality. Due to its rarity and limited occurrence, Revdit is highly sought after by advanced collectors specializing in rare silicates.
Alluaiv in the Lovozero region is world-famous for its exceptional mineral diversity, with over 100 rare mineral species discovered – many of them type-locality minerals. Revdit is one of these unique species, forming only under very specific geochemical conditions in the highly alkaline environment of Lovozero’s intrusive complex.
This specimen is ideal for expanding systematic collections, particularly those focused on rare earth minerals or members of the eudialyte group. With its defined origin and characteristic appearance, it offers both scientific significance and collector value. A rare opportunity to acquire a true mineralogical rarity from Russia.
