This lot consists of 10 kg of quartz geodes and druses from Morocco, offered as loose individual pieces in various sizes. The specimens feature natural quartz crystal interiors, displaying typical clear to milky quartz crystals. The outer surfaces are left in their natural, rough condition and show the characteristic host rock matrix commonly seen in Moroccan quartz geodes.
The geodes and druses are not offered as matching or corresponding pairs, but as loose individual pieces. Size, shape, crystal development, and degree of opening vary from specimen to specimen, resulting in a visually diverse and interesting lot. This material is well suited for mineral collections, decorative purposes, educational use, or further processing.
Geology & Origin
Quartz geodes from Morocco formed within sedimentary and volcanic rocks, where silica-rich solutions filled cavities and gradually crystallized over long geological periods. Morocco is one of the classic localities worldwide for quartz geodes and druses, known for their wide variety of forms and crystal habits.
