GEOLOGY AND ORIGIN

Ottre in Belgium is a classic locality for Quartz and other silicate minerals. The site is especially known for well-formed crystals of Smoky Quartz and Amethyst. The occurrences lie in the Ardennes and are geologically part of the Rhenish Slate Mountains. Collectors value the locality for its sharp crystal forms and occasional twinning. Although many areas are now difficult to access, Ottre remains a well-known name among European mineral localities.

The flat shown in the pictures will be shipped with the corresponding box and, if applicable, folding boxes. These may be partially used, show signs of wear, and have multiple labels or markings.
