Rock crystals; Striegau, Poland; 1 lot with 6 pieces; unique
Rock crystals from Striegau in Poland – 1 unique lot with 6 pieces
This lot contains six classic rock crystal specimens from the well-known locality of Striegau (Strzegom) in Poland. Some of the crystals are well-formed, with distinct prism faces and bright to transparent zones marked by fine fracture patterns, inclusions, and subtle honey-brown iron oxide staining. The specimens show a striking mix of natural aesthetics and the typical morphology of the region, embedded in pale grey to brownish quartz rock.
Striegau is one of Poland’s most important historical quartz localities. The granite formations there provide favorable cavities for the development of rock crystals, which often form in well-defined clusters. This lot offers an impressive overview of the growth and variability of crystals found in this classic area of the Lower Silesian granite massif.
