The specimens mainly display dark grey to black crystals embedded in light-coloured pegmatite. Their varying crystal sizes and growth habits provide an excellent representation of this classic Tourmaline locality.
Geology & Origin
The Childs Aldwinkle Mine is one of Arizona's well-known pegmatite localities. These coarse-grained pegmatites produced several Tourmaline varieties, including Rosterite. The locality is highly regarded by collectors for its diverse Tourmaline occurrences and the wide range of minerals found within the pegmatites.
