This collection features pale matrix pieces containing delicate, often microscopic crystals of the rare copper silicate kinoite. The bluish-violet hues of kinoite occur in fine veins and scattered aggregates, contrasting against the white to greenish-gray host rock. Associated copper minerals such as chrysocolla, plancheite, or calcite are frequently present.
