Creaseyite xls etc.; Tiger, Pinal Co., AZ, USA; 1 lot with 26 pieces; unique
Creaseyite crystals from Tiger, Arizona, USA – 1 unique lot with 26 pieces
This lot includes 26 selected specimens from the world-famous type locality of Tiger in Pinal County, Arizona. The pieces typically display matte, fine-grained coatings in green, yellow, and white tones on reddish matrix—classic indicators of secondary arsenate minerals from the oxidation zone. In addition to creaseyite, rare accessory minerals such as calcio-volborthite, strashimirite, or segnitite may also be present.
The Tiger deposit ranks among the most significant sources of rare arsenate minerals worldwide. It formed through complex paragenesis in a former polymetallic lead-zinc-silver ore body. Specimens from this locality are now rarely available and usually come from older collections. This lot is an excellent opportunity for systematic collections or microscopic studies of secondary mineral associations.
The flat and the folding boxes are not included but can be purchased separately.
