This exceptional collection unit contains numerous specimens featuring well-formed, translucent crystals of moonstone (oligoclase) sitting on a light-colored matrix. The crystals exhibit prismatic to tabular forms with a soft shimmering luster, characteristic of feldspar-rich parageneses. Their color range spans from milky white to delicate pink and brownish hues, occasionally accompanied by dark inclusions or accessory minerals that further enhance their visual appeal.
The St. Eulalia locality in the Mexican state of Chihuahua has long been recognized for its mineralogical diversity. The veins and cavity fillings in this area host a variety of silicate and carbonate minerals, including feldspars such as oligoclase. Recently discovered parageneses like this, featuring clearly visible moonstone crystals, are considered rare and make a valuable addition to both systematic and aesthetic collections.
The flat shown in the pictures will be shipped with the corresponding box and, if applicable, folding boxes. These may be partially used, show signs of wear, and have multiple labels or markings.
