Geology & Origin
The Rubicon locality in Namibia is a well-known lithium-rich pegmatite occurrence in southern Africa. Lepidolite forms there during late-stage pegmatitic crystallization from lithium-enriched residual melts and is commonly associated with other micas, feldspar, and quartz. The locality has long supplied characteristic Lepidolite micromount material, valued primarily for reference, comparison, and systematic mineral collections.
