Geology & Origin

The alluvial Jade deposits around Nome, Alaska, consist of nephritic jade that was transported and deposited by glacial and fluvial processes. This locality has long been known and valued for producing carving-grade material and is of interest both to lapidaries and mineral collectors.

Picture shows sample! Item may differ in size, shape and colour from the sample images.

An example image shows a polished sample piece that clearly demonstrates how intense the colors can appear after processing.

Our raw stones are partially not cleaned. Possible impurities such as dust or dirt can be easily and quickly removed with water. This has no impact on the product quality.

To see the colors better the stones are wetted for some pictures.
