Geology & Origin
Grape Agate is a distinctive variety of Chalcedony formed by grape-like aggregates of tiny spherical crystals. The best-known deposits occur in the volcanic regions of Indonesia, where silica-rich solutions filled cavities within the host rock and gradually produced these characteristic formations over long geological periods. Indonesian specimens are highly regarded worldwide for their exceptional structures and attractive natural colour variations.
