This flat contains a selection of fossil corals from Gummersbach, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The specimens display clearly recognizable structures of the coral polyps, in some cases with contrasting colors ranging from light gray to dark gray. Some pieces feature polished fracture surfaces, which highlight the fine details of the fossil structures particularly well.
The specimens come from the Gummersbach area in Rhineland-Palatinate, a known locality for fossil corals from Paleozoic sediments.
The flat shown in the pictures will be shipped with the corresponding box and, if applicable, folding boxes. These may be partially used, show signs of wear, and have multiple labels or markings.
