Geology & origin
Fluorite (CaF₂) is a widely distributed mineral that commonly forms in hydrothermal veins and can occur in a wide range of colors. The Uis locality in Namibia is known for a variety of mineral occurrences, where Fluorite is associated with granitic and pegmatitic systems. Its coloration is influenced by trace elements and structural defects within the crystal lattice.
