This solid block of Russian Jade originates from the Ural Mountains and features one polished face that beautifully highlights the stone's characteristic natural pattern. Geology & Locality
Russian Jade from the Ural Mountains consists predominantly of Nephrite, a remarkably tough amphibole rock composed mainly of fine-fibrous Tremolite and Actinolite. These deposits formed through metamorphic processes associated with ultramafic rocks and are among the classic Nephrite localities of Eurasia. The Ural Mountains have been renowned for producing high-quality Jade for centuries, prized for its exceptional toughness, excellent polishing properties, and distinctive natural patterns.
