This unique flat features selected Feldspar and Smoky Quartz crystals from the renowned Mt. Malosa in southern Malawi. The specimens display well-formed, transparent to light-brown smoky quartz crystals set on feldspar-rich matrix, with contrasting white to pinkish tones. The natural composition creates a visually striking and collectible presentation.
Mt. Malosa is one of East Africa’s most important pegmatite localities, known for its mineralogical richness and aesthetic quality. These pieces were collected during our 2022 mineral expedition and hand-selected on site. Their combination of geological interest and visual appeal makes them a valuable addition to any systematic or aesthetic mineral collection.
Most crystals are undamaged and well positioned on matrix. The interplay between smoky quartz and feldspar, along with the lustrous surfaces of many crystals, makes this flat especially appealing for collectors, display purposes, or enthusiasts of natural mineral beauty.
