The Glücksrad Mine near Oberschulenberg is one of the historic ore mines of the Upper Harz region. Its mineralization is associated with hydrothermal ore veins in which various metal-bearing minerals formed. Later weathering and oxidation processes produced secondary copper minerals such as Azurite and Malachite, which are known for their characteristic blue and green colours. The different specimens in this flat document various forms of mineralization from this classic Harz mining locality.
