This unique flat features crystals of Aegirine, Zircon, Siderite and Smoky Quartz from the famous Mount Malosa, Zomba region, Malawi – collected during our 2022 mineral expedition to Malawi. The specimens display remarkable variety: dark green Aegirine needles contrast with transparent Smoky Quartz, complemented by honey-brown Siderite and reddish-brown Zircon crystals on matrix.
Mount Malosa is one of Africa’s most renowned alkaline and pegmatitic mineral localities, internationally appreciated for its rare and unusual mineral assemblages. Zircons from this site often show distinct color zoning, and the Siderite appears in exceptional quality, enhancing the value of this assemblage.
This flat is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for collectors focusing on African localities, pegmatite minerals, or aesthetically attractive combinations. Each piece was hand-selected during our fieldwork and reflects the geological richness of Malawi.
