Aegirine, Siderite, Pseudomorph, Smoky Quartz xls; Mt. Malosa, Zomba, Malawi; 1 unique flat (29)
Aegirine, Siderite, Pseudomorphs and Smoky Quartz crystals from Mt. Malosa, Zomba, Malawi. 1 unique flat for mineral collectors.
Fascinating combination of aegirine, siderite, and smoky quartz crystals along with pseudomorphs from Mt. Malosa near Zomba, Malawi. All crystals are on matrix and show characteristic formations: slender aegirine needles, clear to smoky quartz points, yellowish siderite and notable pseudomorphs indicating mineral phase transitions.
This selection was self-collected during our 2022 mineral expedition to Malawi. Mt. Malosa is considered one of the most significant localities for mineralogical combinations within alkali rocks. The diversity of associated minerals and the rare pseudomorphs make this flat a high-quality collector’s item.
Perfect for systematic collections, locality-focused collectors, and enthusiasts of unique African parageneses.
The pictured flat shows exactly the collection offered.
