This striking collection from Mt. Malosa, Zomba, Malawi, features Aegirine and Feldspar crystals along with associated minerals – all on matrix. These specimens were collected during our 2022 mineral expedition in Malawi.
Characteristic for the locality, the green, needle-like Aegirine contrasts with blocky to tabular Feldspar crystals in white to pink hues. Each piece rests on natural matrix, making the mineral combinations clearly recognizable and scientifically valuable.
Mt. Malosa is one of Africa’s premier mineral sites, known for its rare-element pegmatites and rich diversity of collectible species. This flat provides both visual appeal and geological significance, making it ideal for study, educational use, or private collections.
