This unique flat features Aegirine, Caysichite, and Zircon crystals on matrix from the famous Mt. Malosa in southern Malawi. The dark, needle-like Aegirine crystals contrast beautifully with the beige to yellowish matrix and embedded Zircon and Caysichite crystals. These often appear as well-formed, glassy to slightly translucent crystals with characteristic luster.
Mt. Malosa is internationally recognized for its pegmatite mineral diversity. These specimens were collected on-site during our own 2022 mineral expedition. Such finds are highly sought after by collectors, as they combine rarity with aesthetic appeal.
The Zircon crystals display reddish-brown hues and are firmly seated on matrix. Caysichite is a relatively rare mineral, known from only a few locations worldwide. In this flat, the crystals are clearly visible, partially freestanding, and of high interest to collectors.
