This flat features an exceptional selection of crystals including zircon, pyrochlore, and xenotime on light pegmatite matrix from Mount Malosa, Malawi. The specimens display fine-grained to prismatic crystal forms, often associated with aegirine and albite. Colors range from pale beige and white to darker mineral phases, with occasional vitreous luster and striking matrix contrasts.
All specimens offered here originate from our own field finds during a dedicated mineral collecting trip to Malawi in 2022. Mount Malosa is one of the world’s most important localities for rare alkaline rock minerals, known for its geochemically diverse and unusual combinations. This flat is particularly suitable for collectors specializing in systematic rarities and exotic parageneses.
