Large and decorative muscovite plate from Mzimba, northern Malawi. The well-developed, dark brown mica surface displays distinct basal cleavage and a glossy luster. Parts of the surface are semi-transparent and reveal a striking texture and structure. The back side is left natural, showing the layered, fan-like formation typical of muscovite. This specimen is well-suited as a display piece or for showcasing in a mineral collection.

Geology & Origin
