This selection features rare crystals of the copper-molybdate phosphate molybdofornacite, collected at the well-known Tonopah-Belmont Mine in Arizona, USA. The specimens display greenish to yellow-brown tones, often associated with dark red, grey, or black oxidized matrix. Several pieces show matte, earthy to grainy molybdofornacite aggregates clearly distributed across the host rock.
The Tonopah-Belmont Mine is among the few known localities worldwide. This flat offers an excellent opportunity for collectors of rare phosphate minerals from historic mining sites in the United States.
The flat shown in the pictures will be shipped with the corresponding box and, if applicable, folding boxes. These may be partially used, show signs of wear, and have multiple labels or markings.
