Roggianite, Bityite, Beryl; Alpe Rosso, Piedmont, Italy; 1 flat
Roggianite, Bityite and Beryl crystals from Alpe Rosso, Piedmont, Italy – 1 flat.
A diverse suite of rare beryllium minerals from the alpine pegmatites of Alpe Rosso: This collection includes specimens with well-formed Roggianite and Bityite crystals, some accompanied by pale Beryl. The contrast of light matrix with greenish and whitish mineralizations is typical for the location and gives the specimens an appealing appearance.
The Alpe Rosso locality in Piedmont, Italy, is well-known among collectors for its uncommon pegmatite minerals, especially beryllium silicates. Finds from this remote alpine region are scarce, making these minerals desirable for advanced systematic collections.
