Brandtite and Karyopilite crystals from Harstigen, Sweden – 1 unique flat.

This collection contains dark to black specimens with fine-grained or metallic-needle aggregates of Brandtite. Associated Karyopilite appears in reddish to brownish-purple tones and forms part of the typical paragenesis of the site. Some pieces include handwritten collection labels or old annotations, underlining their historical value.

The Harstigen Mine in Värmland, Sweden, is one of the world’s most important sites for rare manganese-rich silicates and oxides. These minerals formed under hydrothermal and metamorphic conditions and include several type localities, such as Brandtite and Karyopilite. Many of them remain scientific rarities and are highly sought after by specialized collectors.

The flat shown in the pictures will be shipped with the corresponding box and, if applicable, folding boxes. These may be partially used, show signs of wear, and have multiple labels or markings.
