This flat contains various-sized specimens with green to yellow-green adamite crystals on rusty red matrix from Mapimi, Durango, Mexico. Under UV light, many of the pieces exhibit intense yellowish-white to greenish-yellow fluorescence—typical for adamite from this famous locality. The crystals appear as lustrous aggregates or fine druses, sometimes within cavities or contrasting sharply with the matrix.
The Mapimi district is among the most renowned localities for fluorescent adamite specimens. This offering comes from an older collection and showcases a representative variety of forms, ideal for UV collectors, fluorescence demonstrations, or as an addition to themed mineral collections.
The flat shown in the pictures will be shipped with the corresponding box and, if applicable, folding boxes. These may be partially used, show signs of wear, and have multiple labels or markings.
