Fossilized wood with spiderweb-like structure from Java in Indonesia – 100 kg
This 100 kg position contains rough pieces of fossilized wood from Java. It displays a fascinating spiderweb-like structure that fully unfolds only when cut. Once sliced open, the interior reveals a striking pattern of dark and light veins reminiscent of a delicate spiderweb, making each piece a unique eye-catcher.
Geology & Origin
The fossil wood comes from Java, Indonesia, and was preserved through silicification over millions of years. Mineral inclusions created the characteristic net-like structures that resemble fine branching, impressively documenting the transformation from organic material into a lasting fossil.
