Selection of striking aegirine, smoky quartz and zircon crystals from Mt. Malosa, Zomba, Malawi. The aegirine crystals appear as needle-like to prismatic formations, often black-green and lustrous. Smoky quartz ranges from clear to rich brown with excellent transparency. Zircon forms as small reddish-brown crystals, adding contrast and mineralogical interest.
The Mt. Malosa locality is one of Africa's most important pegmatite deposits, famous for its wide variety of aesthetic and well-formed minerals. This flat originates from our 2022 mineral expedition to Malawi and was carefully handpicked on site.
