You will learn how minerals are formed, what makes crystals unique, and receive practical tips on cleaning and maintaining your stones. Exciting insights await you with hands-on exercises in mineral identification and viewing crystals under a microscope.

Course Content:

1. Introduction to Mineralogy:

   • Overview of the world of minerals and their significance
   • Basics of mineral science and different types of rocks

2. What are Crystals?

   • Structure and composition of crystals
   • Formation processes and crystal systems

3. Cleaning and Maintaining Stones:

   • Practical guidance on cleaning and maintaining stones and crystals
   • Tips for storage and energetic cleansing

4. Crystals Under the Microscope:

   • Introduction to microscopy for crystals
   • Recognizing and differentiating crystal structures

5. Mineral Identification:

   • Basics of mineral identification and common methods
   • Identifying and classifying your own finds

6. Displaying Your Collection:

   • Creative presentation and organization of your collection
   • Tips for storing and displaying individual minerals and crystals

Course Details:

• Date: May 31–June 1, 2025
• Duration: Approximately 6 hours per day (10 AM–4 PM, flexible upon agreement)
• Location: Steinslieth 11, D-37130 Gleichen, Germany
• Additional Highlight: A field trip to the Harz on June 1 is included as part of this workshop
